Synetic released as a sequel to "Have a N.I.C.E. day!" the game "BreakNeck" in November 1998. At the release date the game had a graphic quality you couldn't find in any other game. The cars had transparent windows and 3D-rims for the first time.

Who thinks 40 cars, 24 tracks (plus mirrored and anticlockwise) as well as different daytimes and wheather-effects are not enough can speed up the cars with different upgrades like tuning, rocket launchers oilcans or nail-thrower and many other stuff.

BreakNeck earned a lot awards and because of that not even a year later, in may 1999, the addon "BreakNeck Tune-Up" has been released. This contains new tracks, additional cars, a tuned main programm and a brand new arcade-mode. With the arcade-mode it's possible to start very fast a single race or even a race against friends.

With BreakNeck Synetic already made clear that the modding community is very important and released tools to modify the textures of the cars. Later a trackeditor package has been released to create own racetracks.
